As I lie here at 9:45 on May 1st I contemplate staying here for a brief nap and starting my productive day closer to noon as I have done many times in the past 2 months. Good morning routine which includes blowing white clouds of smoke is a good reason to not try napping because it will probably fail and I’ll just end up doing nothing for the next hour. 

I have to decide whether I’m okay with that knowing that if I do get up and walk the 10 ft to my computer to start doing something – anything, that will be enjoyable too. There is no clear advantage or preference to either activity. I’m okay with doing nothing and I’m okay with doing something. Currently no customers are mad at me and I’m not particularly behind on any projects. There are things I could do but if I don’t do them nothing will happen. 

It’s an unusual position to be in and I find myself repeating it pretty much every day around this time. I have gone through my social media accounts and made replies and then gone through them again and sometimes a third time and it is this time each day where I decide to nap or not to nap 

I’m curious if that’s a relatable thing or completely unique to me because of my position in a lifestyle that doesn’t require actual work to pay the bills.
